A little bit about us.

At Jake's Rescue Ranch, we believe every dog's life is worth saving, regardless of breed, age, or past circumstances. Founded in February 2017 by Allison Monaco and her husband Craig, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is based in Nassau County, New York. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need, providing them with the love and care they deserve.

Our foster program allows us to assess each dog's behavior and condition thoroughly, developing individualized approaches to help them feel safe and loved. Upon arrival, every dog receives comprehensive medical treatment from a veterinarian to ensure their overall health. We then spend one-on-one time with each rescue to understand their unique personality and disposition, providing training as needed to guide them toward becoming the best companions they can be.

In honor of our beloved dog Jake, who passed away in 2016, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of dogs in need. With the support of our dedicated volunteers, foster families, and generous donors, we have rescued, fostered, and found homes for countless dogs from all over the country. Together, we can continue to provide these deserving animals with the second chances they so desperately need.

Success Stories

The first day we brought Miso home, he didn’t cry at all on the car ride home. He was incredibly curious, and wanted to explore absolutely everything. Since I already had an adult cat at home, I tried to keep Miso secluded in our study, but he had other plans! As soon as my partner opened the door, Miso came dashing out, right up to Katsu, and nose kissed him.
Best friends for life.

The Dorian Family & Miso

We visited your shelter not knowing that we would leave with a puppy (well, I knew but my fiancé needed a little persuading). She changed our lives and instantly brought us such joy, that we decided to return to save her baby brother, Jackson. Nothing can compare to the unconditional love you will receive from a rescue animal.

This is our beloved Miro, adopted from Adoptable just six weeks ago. With the support of your lovely foster carers and now with a permanent home she has come out of her shell and absolutely adores her new life. Frank and I are so thankful you saved her and the stars aligned so we could welcome her into our family.
